Samuel Bird

Since 2023 I am a PhD student at ETH Zurich in the group of Sebastian Huber, studying condensed matter theory. I'm currently broadly interested in applying analytical and novel computational methods to understand phenomena in many body condensed matter physics. I'm working to better understand the funky phase diagrams of strongly correlated materials, and on improving the scope and accuracy of variational methods to tackle these problems.
