Nature doesn't give away its secrets so easily

About me

I am a 28-year-old Italian physicist based in Zürich. I am doing my PhD in the Quantum Optoelectronics Group at ETHZ, under the supervision of Prof. Jérôme Faist, and my research focuses on how engineered vacuum field fluctuations modify electron transport in semiconductors.

I graduated in Physics in 2021 at Sapienza University in Rome, with a thesis on infrared Raman scattering on graphene, under the supervision of Prof. Leonetta Baldassarre and Prof. Francesco Mauri. In my academic period I was a fellow at the "Lamaro Pozzani" Cavalieri del Lavoro College in Rome.

I love science because I am deeply curious about reality, and I hope that a better understanding of the world can make it a better place. Sharing knowledge is my side quest, and I have been doing so with my YouTube channel miOffroio in the past 8 years.
