Handling of Cleanroom Boots

- Boots in principle are worn over lab shoes; however, if users
prefer, they may wear boots directly without shoes.
- Clean boots are available in the leftmost cabinet in the wardrobe/entrance.
- The team will take away boots for washing together with the overalls,
but only for users with shared shoes.
- Users with personal shoes must themselves put the boots in the washing bins,
in general the day before the overalls are changed (Wednesday evening).
- Sizes: ES up to size 36 for green (shared) shoes,
S for 37/38,
M for 39/40,
L for 41/42/43,
EL for 44 and larger.
For white personal shoes, subtract about 2 sizes, i.e L is for sizes 43/44/45 approximately.
storage
- users with personal shoes: keep boots on shoes, store them in personal compartment
- users with shared shoes: keep boots attached to right leg of overall (see below)
putting on new pair of boots
- take shoes as usual, proceed to change area and put them on
- unpack boots, open buttons, zippers and buckles and place boots on floor,
but keep everything on top of sole (not touching floor)
- don overall, put shoes back on
- slip into one boot, lifting textile part of boot
- close zipper fully up
- close and adjust buckle (tight around foot/shoe)
- close top button (tight around leg, to prevent gliding down)
- slip into second boot and proceed as with first one
see video clip for steps 4 to 8 — although you should wear gloves, not like the guy demonstrating it ^-^ but who did not actually enter the cleanroom
